AI for Affiliate Blog Posts — Research Write Publish

# AI for Affiliate Blog Posts — Research Write Publish I spent my twenties tearing up skateparks and grinding rails on a BMX bike. The mindset was simple: show up, ride hard, crash, learn, repeat.

I don't have time for fluff. I used to tear up skateparks and grind rails on a BMX bike, but now my focus is on building software that does the heavy lifting. That's why I built OpenClaw, an agentic framework using n8n, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, and Gemini, to research, write, and publish affiliate content automatically.

Setup: Tools Matter

First up, tools. I use n8n for handling triggers, API calls, and logic flows. For the heavy lifting, Claude 3.5 Sonnet handles reasoning and creative writing with a massive context window, making sure it doesn't hallucinate details. Data extraction is done by Google Gemini, thanks to its superior integration with Google Search APIs.

But the brain of OpenClaw is my own creation: OpenClaw. It manages state, error handling, and decision-making loops, ensuring everything runs smoothly without any intervention once the agent is running.

Phase 1: Research That Actually Converts

Affiliate marketers often write about irrelevant topics that don't rank. OpenClaw starts every cycle with deep-dive research. A trigger in n8n scrapes top 10 search results for specific long-tail keywords, and Gemini extracts key user intents and missing information gaps.

OpenClaw then compares these against my product database to identify where the market is failing. This becomes the blueprint for the post—mathematically identifying real needs rather than guessing.

Phase 2: The Write-Up with Human Flavor

To avoid AI content sounding robotic, OpenClaw adopts specific personas (like "The Veteran Racer" for BMX). Claude writes in a conversational tone using short sentences and industry-specific terminology. Affiliate links are inserted contextually based on user intent, ensuring seamless monetization.

The agent also generates image prompts for DALL-E 3 or Midjourney to create custom thumbnails that match our brand aesthetic.

Phase 3: Publish and Optimize

Once the content is drafted, OpenClaw formats it, adds schema markup for SEO, and pushes the post to WordPress instances via REST API. It handles meta tags, featured images, and internal linking structure. After publishing, OpenClaw monitors initial metrics and triggers revisions if a post underperforms.

The Reality Check

Building this agent requires some upfront engineering, but once deployed, it abstracts away complexity. You define the niche and goal, and let the system handle the rest.

If you're tired of staring at screens formatting paragraphs, stop optimizing your manual process. Automate everything with OpenClaw.
